Bearly Concentrating
[As Ralph stumbles through the forest, he tries to remember what's happened the past few days. His memories are hazy and murky, his hands and arms are covered in scratches.
He's been holed up in a thick part of the forest, sleeping for the most part, and only stopping his rest to find something nearby to snack on. But, now, he's trying to remember why he was doing that in the first place.
Ralph rubs his forehead, he figures that he had transformed sometime before he took to being a recluse, he's thankful that he's large enough that his clothes fit both his human and bear forms without too much fuss.
He thinks he's heading towards home, but his sense of direction isn't always the best, especially after he hasn't been eating nearly enough. He'll have to find something to munch on while he heads home, and then get a real dinner for once.]

[Virgil didn't know where he'd come from or why he'd chosen to run across their territory, but the werebear had done some damage. Quite a lot.]
[Damien was absolutely irate, his mother and sisters close behind. Virgil was more frightened than anything, but he knew he needed to fix it before things got a lot worse.]
[He shouldered on his coat, hating the late winter cold. He may have been built for it- werewolf and all- but that didn't mean he appreciated it. He's huddled deep into his heavy clothing when he goes out, sniffing at the crisp air and searching out the scent of the werebear and heading in his direction.]

As he bumbles his way his way through the forest, he's not too stealthy or careful and there's probably a few branches that he walks right through, making quite a bit of mess and noise.
Ralph shouldn't be too hard to track, even after bathing, he's always got something of a stench and he's not making it difficult to find him.]
no subject
[The young man stepped unhappily over the debris of one chicken house, heading into the woods and following the scent.]
no subject
He starts munching on the berries, scarfing them down and not caring if he's making a mess. He takes after his wereform a little more than he'd casually admit.]
no subject
[The stench, the scent of berries, and soon he had located his target. Virgil sat down his bag safely behind a tree and returned to his human form- no use in attacking right off the bat- and stepped up behind Ralph.]
You, what do you think you're doing wandering around here?
no subject
When Virgil suddenly addresses him from behind, Ralph whips around, jumping up and making a noise that's a bizarre cross between a yelp and a bearlike snarl.
He's clearly surprised by his visitor, but since Virgil doesn't seem to be a threat, he takes a moment to calm down, breathing heavily from his sudden jolt of adrenaline.
Once he's caught his breath, he answers, sounding weary.]
I'm wonderin' that myself. I can't really remember the last few... hours?
no subject
I don't know what your problem is, then. You just rampaged across our property.
[He pointed harshly back in the direction he had come from.]
no subject
I, uh, did what again?
no subject
[He tilted his head, frowning a little more softly.]
...Do you not recall?
no subject
[He shakes his head.]
Not really, I just remember bein' angry.
I'm not too good at fixin' stuff, but I am good at carryin' things, I dunno if you'd trust me, but I can try to help rebuild what I smashed.
no subject
...Are you a new were?
no subject
No, I've been one...well, a while. Not sure on the exact dates.
no subject
[Virgil stuffed his hands in his pockets, looking up at Ralph.]
You don't know how to control it?
no subject
That's th' thing. Usually I know how to control it.
Somethin' must've set me off. I dunno what, I'm tryin' to not think too hard about it, in case I get mad about it all over again.
no subject
[Virgil scowls a small bit, picking up his satchel to swing over his shoulder.]
My family and I tend to not mine, so long as you don't stick around. But my cousin; he's a bear. And you've torn up part of our land. So, watch out. He's not someone you want to be on the bad side of.
no subject
He sighs.]
Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for 'im.
Uh, anyway, is there anything I can do to make up for th' mess?
no subject
Buy us some more- [He grimaced.] Chickens. You killed a lot of them.
no subject
I will, I promise. Do ya want me to come back now? Or should I lay low for a while?
[Ralph grimaces as well, though there's a part of him that wonders if he had eaten any of the chickens or if he had just senselessly killed them.
It didn't really matter, though, dead chickens were dead chickens.]
'Bout how many chickens do ya think you'll need?
no subject
[Yes, Ralph, you had eaten some. And he commended you, he didn't even like them cooked.]
Yeah, come on back. Damien's probably hibernating again by now.
no subject
He nods, then looks a little concerned.]
Okay, though, uh, is anybody else mad 'bout what I did?
[He wouldn't blame them if they were, but he wasn't too sure about walking back into an area full of people furious at him.]
no subject
no subject
Uh...is there anything I could get 'em at town while I'm buyin' th' chickens?
[A little present might go a long way in repairing the relationships.]
no subject
[He nods, hands propped on his hips.]
no subject
Comic books, chocolate almonds, and books, got it.
Are there any certain kind of comics and books they like?
[While he didn't really read himself, he knew there were plenty of choices out there.]
no subject
[He cocked an eyebrow, frowning back in the direction of home.]
Do you need an escort or something to town?
no subject
Nah. Unless you'd feel more comfortable keepin' an eye on me and wanna make sure I hold up my end of the bargain.
[He really didn't care either way, but the extra set of hands might come in handy for transporting everything on the shopping list.]
no subject
I'll got with you.
no subject
All right. I usually go this way, unless you prefer something different?
[He had pointed close to the direction they faced, but he had no idea if it went through any other territories, he usually just went his own way and did his own thing.]
no subject
Whichever is fastest. We can cross my land if you're with me.
no subject
I'm not sure which is quicker, I usually avoid yer territory. So, I dunno how long it takes to cut across it.
no subject
[He is terribly disinterested in your actions, Ralph.]
no subject
I think I'd rather continue goin' my way. I don't wanna press my luck with yer group after I tore the place up.
no subject
[He shifts the bag around, pulling out a small handful of jerky and munching it.]
no subject
Okay, we'll keep on goin' this way.
[He starts to lead the way again, though, when Virgil pulls out the jerky, he starts sniffing the air as he walked.]
